Degree:
Telecommunication Engineering. 3rd Year. Mandatory. 4,5 credits.
Professor(s):
José Ángel Irastorza.(R)
Luis Sánchez González.
Verónica Gutiérrez Polidura.
Timetable:
2nd Semester.
Wednesday (08:30 - 11:30)
Thursday (08:30 - 11:30)
 OBJECTIVES

The objective of the course is to provide students with practical knowledge to complement the concepts shown in the theoretical lessons. The main concepts are: practical study of V.24/V.28 interface using a communication software that control asynchronous transmissions; study of a link protocol using a protocols analyser; data transmission with V.22bis and V32 modems; hardware implementation of a simple channel block coder/decoder by means of logical gates; data transmission over a X.25 network using asynchronous terminals connected in a PAD as well as a X.32 access to the X.25 network; and finally an introduction to the Local Area Networks.
