 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

In this project, for the Australian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority ACCC, we developed techno-economical model for the study of the termination call costs in the australian mobile network. The model was implemented as a software tool for the design and dimensioning of a hypothetical operator network, and its cost evaluation under different scenarios.

The model takes into account aspects as the population distribution, coverage ratio, market penetration ratio, population movement and the time differences inside the country.

The model and the results obtained were presented in a final report that was to a discussion process. The final report and the discussion process can be consulted at the following URL: http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml?itemId=783052
