BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
In this project, for the German Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Bundesnetzagentur, we developed a techno-economical model for the study of Next Generation Networks (NGN). This model is implemented as a software tool for the design and dimensioning of a hypothetical operator network, and for the cost evaluation of the different services integrated in that network. This cost allows evaluating tariffs for call termination and interconnection, mainly for VoIP service.
The Bundesnetzagentur published the model and a questionnaire for the different operators and service providers. The documents, in german language, are at the following URLs:
