BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
University of Cantabria offers multiple services to its students in the computer rooms and libraries. In these places they are allowed to use the printing system. However, despite the big expenses that maintaining it, the university does not keep track of neither the amount of printing jobs, nor the cost of them.
Having in mind this gap, OTTIUC has develop a system that helps on the management of the printing service offered in the different computure labs. It automatically handles the printers, by an easy installation procedure, error reports, … As a value added service, it is provided the capability of charging for the printing jobs (depending on printer, number of pages,…) by using the centralized payment system also developed by us.
